How to be Intentional in a Crisis
In this episode, recorded in week six of the global pandemic and quarantine, I want to walk you through how to be intentional when we are kicked back into "survival mode" as a result of massive disruption in our lives.

Give it a listen and let me know what you think!

Priority.

We have a choice in how we are going to respond to things.

The key to navigating the sludge of any crisis is managing your priorities well.

Be intentional about your priorities.

Example: My work is my priority. I help and guide my kids with their school work, but their school work is not my #1 priority.

P.S. Your priorities don't have to be the same as other people's priorities. There is a ridiculous amount of freedom in owning this idea.

Grief tends to come in waves.

Grab your surfboard (or your floaties), and ride the wave my friend!

Feel the lows and ride the highs.

Practical Tips for Being Intentional in a Crisis.

  • Redefine your days and weeks. Re-work how and when tasks are accomplished.
  • Think in terms of progress. Productivity, boundaries, structure, accomplishments. Just. Make. Progress.
  • Balance. Get in tune with the ebbs and flows of the emotional contractions and work WITH them to find balance.
  • Grace. Mix it in EVERYWHERE. Extend grace to yourself and your people as much as you can.

I'm sharing my thoughts and views and priorities, but friend there are no rules and there is no judgement! Try different things and find what works for your and your people.

Tune in. Rest when you need to rest. Make little steps of progress. Just keep moving (or resting.)
