That one time I was stuck at the pediatrician's office...

...and it was during my usual dinner-prep time.
The panic started seeping in, I started to think about what fast food was on the way.
But then I realized my husband could pull some sloppy joe meat out of the freezer and warm it on the stove. Dinner was ready by the time we got home!

Why and How They Help You

  • Those days you don’t feel like cooking
  • When you don’t have the option to get to-go food.
  • When you need dinner to “cook itself”
  • Busy schedules
  • New babies (if you can barely get in a shower, you don’t need to worry about dinner)
  • Surgery or treatment coming up
  • Life crisis (my house randomly flooded, and I was slow cooking our dinner that night at my Mom’s because I had it stocked in the freezer already)
  • Save money (drive thru savings AND grocery savings - hello meat on sale!!!)

How Freezer Meals Work

How the prep works

  1. Shop for your freezer meal ingredients one day
  2. Do the prep the next day (doing all in one day is sometimes overwhelming)
  3. Shop for the freezer meal items separately from your regular shopping if you prefer
  4. Get all ingredients out on the counter
  5. Chop/peel all produce
  6. Mix up any sauces or marinades
  7. Pre cook: brown ground beef or cooking pasta
  8. Put all the meals together into bags or trays
  9. Flat freeze the bags to save space. (Put a piece a wax or parchment paper between the bags as you stack them.) *If you have a deep freezer, once they are frozen you can stand them up in a box.

When It's Time to Cook the Meals...
Thaw in the fridge overnight. Sometimes it takes 2 days if the meal is very dense. Or you can quick thaw in a bowl or tray of water. (I don’t prefer or recommend thawing in the microwave.) Then just cook as directed!

I’ve tried ALL THE WAYS, and this is the BEST way. I promise!

P.S. Freezer meals are not just for big families or people with children. You can make smaller serving freezer meals for just one or two people. It is STILL a game changer and time/money saver.
